Victoria University research fellow Brenda Vale’s latest book is called, Time to Eat the Dog. She told a city council briefing last week that all pets should be edible because their carbon footprints - or pawprints, as the case may be - contribute to global warming.

The mayor of the city council said, quite correctly, that if Professor Vale’s carbon-busting argument was taken to the extreme, “the only safe way forward was for mankind to stop breeding.”

“That is the problem with these types of arguments. It you take them to their natural conclusion, then you end up in an extraordinarily illogical situation.”

There you go, one more person testifying to the fundamentaly anti-human, anti-life principles behind the enviro-freak movement.

I like to take note of good pieces attacking environmentalist orthodoxy, mostly because they are unorthodox. Any scientific theory whose advocates vilify their opponents just for opposing them deserves to be placed under the greatest scrutiny and not permitted the slightest benefit of the doubt. The hyperbole of today’s climate crusaders positively demands that someone cry out, “the Emperor’s  got no clothes.”

That’s what Lorrie Goldstein does in Cool the Climate Hysteria. Take care enviro-fascists. Beware Luddites. The pseudo-scientific trappings of your self-serving assertions are being stripped away.

Sorry Greens, you had a nice run, made garbage day more complicated, wasted a ton of tax dollars, and made your leaders rich, but now its all over. As this story,”Temperature Monitors Report Widescale Global Cooling” shows, global cooling this winter has wiped out a century’s worth of global warming. And apparently its all due to solar activity - nothing whatsoever to do with human activity.

So, can we finally put all this psuedo-scientific enviromania to rest and let the private sector turn its R&D attention to bio-med, nanotech, and AI? Please?

If this global warming gets any worse we’re all going to freeze to death. The latest from Greenland is that they are experiencing their coldest weather in decades. The counterpoint? The glaciers have retracted more in the past few decades than “in all of recorded history”. Well just how far back does that mean in Greenland?

From what I can glean from Wikipedia, “recorded history”, at least on this account, started in 1978. Doesn’t sound so ominous now does it?
