In this column by Ian MacDonald he correctly fingers the new collection of Liberal and NDP MPs who are hitching their political stars to how low they can stoop in mischaracterizing the actions of anyone they can associate with their political opponents. Once again, the left, devoid of convincing policy arguments, assumes that voters are gullible enough to believe anything bad about anyone and the bigger the lie the better.

Hopefully come election time these new rat packers will be sent packing.

Yet another poll

These are based on running the regional breakdowns of the latest Decima poll through the UBC election forecaster.

CPC … 131
Lib … 110
BQ … 37
NDP … 29

Better than the last two from SES and Strategic Council. Bigger sample too so hopefully more accurate.

Here’s a link to the video of the RCMP tasering this Polish immigrant to death. More later.

We just got rid of a buffoon of a Prime Minister and now, at least as far as that latest poll truly represents voter intention, we are seriously considering electing another one. As this exchange in the Commons illustrates, Stephane Dion is an idiot. The incredible fact that his supporters laud him for his intellectual qualities speaks volumes about both.

Here are the numbers and the seat projections based on the latest poll by SES (Nick Nanos’ firm):

CPC . . . 35% . . . 106 seats
Lib . . . 34% . . . 137 seats
BQ . . . 9% . . . 40 seats
NDP . . . 17% . . . 29 seats
Grn . . . 6% . . . 0 seats

So there we have it, the Conservatives “win” the popular vote by 1% but, thanks to our irrational, antiquated, and utterly undemocratic first-past-the-post voting system, the result is a Liberal government. Oh well, at least its not a majority and there have been Liberal majorities with a similar popular vote.

This is why I support electoral reform.

I endorse this opinion of the Dalai Lama.
